Adding a large recipient list to Web2SMS is now much simpler.
Instead of entering mobile numbers individually or uploading a file, you can copy up to 10,000 numbers from a spreadsheet or document and paste them directly into your message.
It’s a small interaction that removes a surprising amount of work.
Built around the way people already work
Our goal was to make adding recipients feel as familiar as copying and pasting anything else. Web2SMS can now recognise mobile numbers copied from:
- A row or column in Excel or Google Sheets
- A comma-separated list or CSV
- A list separated by spaces
- International number formats
- Standard or shortened formats for your selected country
Clear feedback before you send
Every pasted number is checked using the same validation rules as a number entered manually.
Valid and invalid numbers are clearly identified, so you can see exactly what needs attention. You can remove individual numbers and try again, or remove every invalid number in a single click.
In response to early customer testing, we also added a one-click way to clear the entire recipient list and start again. Whether you want to remove only the invalid numbers or replace the complete list, you don’t have to delete recipients one at a time.
This gives you a clean recipient list before the message leaves the platform — without forcing you to hunt through thousands of entries individually.
Designed to stay fast at scale
Supporting 10,000 recipients presented a bigger UX challenge than simply accepting a large block of text. The page also needed to validate every number and display the results without slowing down or overwhelming the browser.
During testing, we found that displaying thousands of recipient chips at once created unnecessary work, even when most of them weren’t visible. We redesigned the experience so Web2SMS only renders the recipients currently on screen, then loads the next rows as you scroll.
The result is a faster and more responsive experience, whether you’re adding 50 recipients or 10,000. In our final stage testing, Web2SMS processed and displayed 10,000 pasted numbers in under one second.
